Now for a few fun boats that are not in the bowrider category. Most ski boat builders offer models up in the 24'
size these days. Mostly V-drives. This one from Malibu is unusual in being a straight inboard, which results in
dual cockpits. Malibu first tried this style in a 21 footer. That one had cockpits too tight for my taste. With this 24
footer the dual cockpit theme takes on a certain charm. The bow compartment was so diminutive that I didn't
bother photographing it. If you need a bow compartment for adults, then stick to the I/O bowriders. I took the
flash photo of the helm so you could better see what it would look like in daylight. Instead of the funky available
light. This design is typical ski boat low profile, so no head compartment. Hard to see with the dark color, but the
hull at the bow is an unusual design for a pleasure boat. More like you might see on a saltwater design. Clearly
a poor choice as a family RV for the lake, but this boat was my favorite of the show.
