Both shots were with the Sony 18-70mm "kit" zoom.  Focal length at 18mm (27mm in 35mm eqv.) JPG 10M Fine.  ISO 100.  Meter - Multi pattern.  Shutter 1/100sec.  Aperture f/10.0 Exposure Program:          Auto White Balance:                Auto D-Range Optimizer          Advanced Auto File Size: 5950k Creative Style:              (none)                Contrast:                      Normal Saturation:                    Normal Sharpness:                   Normal The basic Auto case, but with the DRO feature turned up to full strength.  Looks like the AutoWB / DRO combination resulted in a more yellowish cast than the other shot. Exposure Program:          Programmed mode White Balance:                Daylight D-Range Optimizer          Off File Size: 6815k Creative Style:               Landscape                Contrast:                        - 1 Saturation:                      + 2 Sharpness:                     + 2 Programmed mode with custom Creative Style did improve color strength and sharpness.  But at a cost of stronger fringing (see rock outline in righthand crop).  Plus a significant difference in file size.
